It is our great pleasure to invite you to attend the 121st Annual Meeting of the Japanese Ophthalmological Society, to be held in Tokyo from 6-9 April 2017.
I am Prof. Akira Murakami in Juntendo University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Ophthalmology.
This year’s main theme is “Eyes for Learning”, that means the learning point of view and heritage of knowledge will be carry on and the learning from the patients must be continued forever.
Invited lectures are given by Prof. Reza Dana in Massachusetts Eye & Ear Infirmary and Prof. Hugh Taylor, President of ICO (International Council of Ophthalmology)(University of Melbourne).
Special lectures are given by Prof. Tetsuya Yamamoto in Gifu University and Prof. Fumio Shiraga in Okayama University. Moreover, Council Designated Lectures on the theme, "Translational research in ophthalmology" will be given by Dr. Tsujikawa, Dr. Ikeda and Dr. Noda. These lectures will be translated in English simultaneously. We will have a lot of International symposiums in English as well. We believe that participants from overseas will be satisfied with our programs.
April is the season of Sakura blossom. We are looking forward to welcoming you to our congress in the capital city Tokyo with Sakura in full bloom.Regards,
