The 57th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Scoliosis Society (JSS)
President: Motoki Iwasaki
(Osaka Rosai Hospital)
November 10th and 11th, 2023, we have the privilege of hosting the 57th annual meeting of the Japanese Scoliosis Society (JSS). We would like to thank JSS members and councillors for providing us with the opportunity to host this conference in Osaka.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the way we hold conferences has shifted drastically. On one hand, obtaining new knowledge has become more accessible thanks to online conferences and workshops. On the other hand, we are reminded of the significance of gathering in person and being able to passionately discuss new research findings and achievements face to face with colleagues. This conference is predominantly in-person, as we hope to offer our attendees an opportunity to share, learn and discuss in a dynamic setting. Nevertheless, we also plan to make many instructional lectures available on-demand online.
The conference will be held at Osaka City Central Public Hall. The Hall was built in 1918 and is located between two rivers, the Dojima River and the Tosabori River. Its beautiful Neo-Renaissance architecture is a symbol of Osaka's knowledge, culture and history, contributing to the Hall being designated as a cultural asset of national importance in 2002. We are looking forward to welcoming all of you here in Osaka during the season Ginkgo trees turn gold. We truly hope you enjoy your conference experience and Osaka's culture.
