Yuichi HORI, MD, PhD
President of the 66th Annual Meeting of the Japan Contact Lens Society
Professor of Department of Ophthalmology, Toho University Omori Medical Center

It is with great honor that I serve as the President of the 66th Annual Meeting of the Japan Contact Lens Society. I am Yuichi HORI from the Department of Ophthalmology at Toho University Omori Medical Center, Tokyo, Japan. I am extremely honored to play a responsible role in this historically significant society.

The conference will be held over two days, on July 14th (Sunday) and 15th (Monday), 2024, at the Tokyo International Forum. Our theme is "The Dawn of a New Era in Contact Lenses." This conference aims to share the latest information and deepen academic discussions. We are delighted to have Professor Takahiro Hiraoka from the University of Tsukuba as our special lecturer. We look forward to an enlightening lecture befitting the main event of the conference.

Moreover, a significant goal of this year's conference is the "Internationalization of Japan's Contact Lens Research." On the first day of the conference, we will be hosting numerous renowned international contact lens researchers. We hope to learn about the latest global developments in contact lenses and engage in lively discussions with Japanese researchers. Simultaneous interpretation will be available, so please look forward to it.

We have prepared a comprehensive program to ensure that all participants can enjoy and learn about contact lenses over these two days, spending a meaningful time contemplating. We hope that this conference will be a significant step into a new era of contact lenses for everyone.

We look forward to the participation of many people.

See you in Tokyo!
