この度、第20回医療の質・安全学会学術集会を2025年11月8日（土）～9日（日）の2日間、京都市勧業館みやこめっせで開催させて頂くことになりました。今回は20回の節目の開催にあたります。会場は京都市の「はたちを祝う記念式典」会場であり、本学術集会の「はたち」を祝うことができることを大変光栄に存じます。

医療の質・安全学会は、2005年、医学の枠を超え、多様な視点と幅広い知恵を結集した学際的研究の推進と、その成果を実際の医療を生かす取り組みを通じて、新しい医療のあり方と患者本位の医療の質・安全を保証するシステムを創造する場として設立されました。

第20回の学術集会のテーマは「サステイナブルな質の改善と患者安全」といたしました。日本における労働者人口の減少の中で、医療の質と安全を守るためには、サステイナブルであることを意識することが重要だと考えております。そのため、本学術集会では、SDGsの17の開発目標のうち、目標３、目標５、目標８、目標９、目標11、目標12、目標17を選びました。それぞれを公平性、人間中心性、効率性、適時性、安全性、有効性、包括性だと捉えました。これらの6つの目標と１つの目標（包括性）は、世界保健機関の方向性に沿うものであり、医療の質を決める要素であります。

目標３（すべての人に健康と福祉を）を「障がい者、身寄りのない高齢者など社会的弱者への合理的配慮により公平性を実現しよう。」、目標５（ジェンダー平等を実現しよう）を「マネジメント層への女性の参加を増やし、人間中心性を強化しよう」、目標８（働きがいも経済成長も）を「働き方改革・労働人口（医療職）の減少に対し、効率性の追求により対応しよう」、目標９（産業と技術革新の基盤をつくろう）を「革新的医療技術の開発・利用と情報リテラシーを深め、医療の適時性を高めよう」、目標11（住み続けられるまちづくりを）を「地域によらない患者安全の均てん化により、医療の安全性を高めよう」、目標12（つくる責任つかう責任）を「医療廃棄物の合理的な削減と患者安全を両立できる有効性のある対策を実践しよう」、目標17（パートナーシップで目標を達成しよう）を「医療、行政、産業とのパートナーシップのもとに地域での包括的な医療体制を実現しよう」と捉えました。

ロゴマークには、選択した7つの開発目標のカラーを取り入れました。京都タワーをあしらい、QualityのQを入れてデザインしました。京都議定書の地での開催であることも意識し、温室効果ガスの排出削減に取り組む大会運営を心掛けます。

Greetings on the 20th Annual Congress of the Japanese Society of Quality and Safety in Healthcare in 2025

We are honored to host the 20th Annual Congress of the Japanese Society for Quality and Safety in Healthcare on November 8th and 9th, 2025, in Kyoto, Japan. This year marks the 20th anniversary of the event. Founded in 2005, the Japan Society for Quality and Safety in Healthcare is a platform for promoting interdisciplinary research that combines diverse perspectives and expertise, extending beyond the boundaries of medicine. Its goal is to apply research findings to actual care, creating innovative healthcare practices and systems that ensure the quality and safety of patient-centered care.

The theme of the 20th Annual Congress is "Sustainable Quality Improvement and Patient Safety." Given Japan's declining working population, we believe that maintaining healthcare quality and safety requires a focus on sustainability. Therefore, this conference has chosen Goals 3, 5, 8, 9, 11, 12, and 17 from the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). These goals emphasize essential principles such as equity, people-centeredness, efficiency, timeliness, safety, effectiveness, and integration. These principles align with the priorities of the World Health Organization and provide a solid foundation for quality healthcare.

The congress logo incorporates the colors of the seven selected SDGs and features the Kyoto Tower, along with the letter "Q" to represent quality. As the event will be held in a region governed by the Kyoto Protocol, we are committed to organizing it in a way that reduces greenhouse gas emissions.
